Background of the Integrity Unit


The Integrity Unit of the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak was established on 16 June 2020. This unit was formed to carry out six (6) core functions, namely Governance, Integrity Strengthening, Detection and Verification, Complaint Management, Compliance, and Discipline.

In general, the objective of the Ministry's Integrity Unit is to integrate the management of all integrity-related matters under a dedicated unit, with the aim of implementing them in a more focused and structured manner. This is to ensure that the elements of institutionalising integrity, prevention, compliance, and detection of misconduct can be effectively enforced and achieve optimal outcomes.
